It used to take hours to do commissions each month, and I never really trusted that I was being paid appropriately. — Marcie S., Capitol Benefits Group · public customer story via agencybloc.com
The quiet leak

It's happening to agents right now.

Carriers underpay or skip payments, every statement looks different, and reconciling by hand takes hours you'll never get back. So most solo agents don't check — and the leaks compound.

💸

Four months. 45 clients. $2,500+ — gone silently.

A carrier went four months without paying agent Stacy B. on 45 clients — over $2,500 in commissions. Without tracking in place, she said, she would never have had eyes on it.

⏳

"She got through seven carriers and ran out of month."

One brokerage's operations lead spent 32 hours a month reconciling — and still verified only 68% of policy lines. Auditing the rest found $31,400 in underpayments in a single quarter, plus an $8,900 clawback buried in the statements.

$34,000 in chargebacks — discovered a year late.

A Medicare Advantage agency learned it owed roughly $34,000 in old chargebacks from clients who had canceled over a year earlier. The carrier simply started deducting $1,000 a week from commissions.

FAQ

Fair questions

Which carriers does it work with?

Any carrier whose portal lets you download statements as CSV or Excel — which is nearly all of them. You map a carrier's format once; CommCheck handles it from there.

What if my carrier only provides PDF statements?

The beta works with CSV and Excel downloads. PDF parsing is on the roadmap for the Pro tier — join the waitlist and tell us which carriers you write with so we can prioritize.

Do I need a CRM or agency management system?

No. CommCheck works standalone from your carrier statements. Keep whatever tools you already use.

Is my client data safe?

Statements are encrypted in transit and at rest, retained only while your account is active, and never sold or shared. A full data-handling review is completed before launch — we take this as seriously as you do.

How is this different from AgencyComp or AgencyBloc?

Those are built — and priced — for larger agencies: demo calls, onboarding fees (AgencyComp charges $150 just to get set up), per-carrier charges. CommCheck is self-serve, does one job, and starts at $29/mo with no onboarding fee.
